New Year Resolved

31st December 2013

year_end_1I was going to do an end of the year post, but I’ve decided to not look back.

I was going to write down a list of resolutions for 2014, but resolutions are only good for remembering what you did differently for the first couple of months of the year, by the end of the 12 months.year_end_2

All in all, my upcoming goals are modest and simple, this year. Besides working toward a clearer visual identity for myself, I’d like to accomplish the following:

  • Clear out my closet of oversized band shirts and invest in more good quality, bright and simple pieces
  • Find a weekly fitness routine that I love (hello again, NTC)
  • Continue making our house a home

Meet Lazy Pigeon and the Blind Chauffeur

6th May 2013

I recently started trying to get the hang of the Vine app. I hated it for a while, but now I think we’re becoming friends. The restrictions of trying to make something cohesive within a 6 second time frame, drove me crazy at first.

Then after getting a bit stir crazy on a recent road trip from one edge of California to the other, I started using Vine to record the slightly spastic antics of my friends, Lazy Pigeon and the Blind Chauffeur!

How they get anything together, is just beyond me.

Ticklelay Culkin

20th April 2013

One of the meanest things I enjoy in my everyday life is tickling. It was a desire that laid stagnant for years until my boyfriend told me that he is so ticklish, that he can’t touch his own feet without feeling tickled. From that moment, I find myself…accidentally…brushing my toes up against the bottoms of his feet because I know its going to result in an unexpected chuckle in an otherwise silent room. If you have a friend who is ticklish, may I suggest this really awful, excruciating, and hilarious activity? Try drawing of writing something on the bottom of each others feet!

Tickling is the best! It causes your to laugh uncontrollably and no matter how much you hate it at the time, everything feels fresher after a good laugh. (unless it results in you pissing you pantaloons). Even the word itself is pretty funny. The best thing I’ve seen all week is probably this video on how even rats enjoy a good tickling:

My other favorite tickling moment, is probably this penguins laugh and nod.

No More Monkeys Doing What We Did

24th March 2013

Recently, my friend Bea from New York came into town to play a show in San Francisco. It was really great to see an old friend, roam around a still unfamiliar city, and jump on hotel beds together!

My I suggest this activity, when you have one of those realizations that unlike Spiderman, pigeons, and balloons, you will probably never be able to fly.

All you need is two beds and a pretty high ceiling!
